A large night indeed at the Grammy Awards for an artist heard often on 99-5 WCME–Bonnie Raitt, who at the age of 73, surpasses a slew of younger artists–among them Adele, Harry Styles, and Lizzo, to win the Song of the Year award, for her quiet and meandering track about a mother whose son was killed in an accident and who meets the recipient of the transplant of her boy’s heart–she gets to hear her child’s heart beating once more.
