One of those situations which could have been substantially worse than it turned out to be. There were no injuries but northbound traffic backed up on I-295 in Brunswick after a car fire near Exit 28 resulted in SEVEN other vehicles crashing in two separate accidents as they were approaching the fire. Five of the seven cars were totaled, but the accident scenes were quickly cleared.
