After a stirring and stunning presentation to the town council on Thursday evening in which he warned of growing unrest, criminality and violence, particularly in the downtown area of Brunswick, stemming in part from increased homelessness–much of it involving people from out-of-town and out-of-state, Brunswick Police Chief Scott Stewart follows up on today’s WCME Midcoast Morning Buzz.
The chief also reacted to the news that the state’s new Red Flag lawi is not being used much–either by law enforcement or by family members seeking to get guns out of the hands of people who might use them to commit suicide or to harm others.
