On today’s WCME Midcoast Morning Buzz, Cumberland County District Attorney Jackie Sartoris said she believes that Valerie Adams, the assistant district attorney whom she recently terminated, was planning from the start of her employment nine months ago to oppose a re-election bid from Sartoris in next year’s Democratic primary.
Sartoris also says Adams would frequently talk around the office about her plans to run now for district attorney.
Adams, who will appear on the WCME Midcoast Morning Buzz Tuesday at 7:35, claims Sartoris has failed to implement effective, uniform policies for how different criminal cases should be resolved by her office.
