Perrault and Mason on the Brunswick budget standoff

About This Project

The Brunswick school board wants to spend considerably more on the schools in the year ahead than town councilors, who want to limit the tax rate increase to three percent. That has led to some predictable friction, which boiled over both at Wednesday evening’s school board meeting and again at Thursday evening’s council budget work session.

It was there that council chair John Perrault listed his grievances and then handed off to 7th district councilor Jim Mason, who had a notably different point of view. Your first chance to hear both in their entirety was on the Friday WCME Midcoast Morning Buzz. But if you missed it, you can hear it here.
