31 Dec The Bells of Bath
The first bells in Maine signaling the arrival of the new year are rung every year in Bath–the ringing of the Paul Revere bell in the belfry at City Hall and this year was no exception. If you missed it–you can hear the bell right here.
The bell was rung this year by Tony Garreton, also known as Tony Dancer, Bath’s Citizen of the Year. A moderate-sized group of people gathered to hear the ringing and seemed happily satisfied when the ringing ended–a mission complete.
