21 Oct WCME Breaking News: Body Found in Brunswick
Brunswick police report that a body found hanging from a tree in woods near Maquoit Road in Brunswick is believed to be that of 30-year-old Lisa Marie Cox who went missing Monday evening and who apparently committed suicide.
The woman grew up in Brunswick but until recently had been living in Texas and was staying with friends on Running Brook Road–very close to the place where her body has been found. She left the house Monday evening after apparently arguing with her boyfriend about cigarettes and didn’t return.
Police say the investigation will continue and the probe may include conversations with the boyfriend, who police say has been cooperative. Cox’s body is being taken to the state medical examiner’s office in Augusta for an autopsy to determine the cause of death.
