A Gradual Return

 

Numerous Midcoast school districts, including Brunswick,  MSAD 75 in Topsham, and RSU1 in Bath are on a two-hour delay this morning after multiple days on which schools were shut down during and after the recent storms. Head Start classes are cancelled today in Brunswick, Bath and Wiscasset. Meanwhile, parking bans remain in effect in Boothbay Harbor until noon, in Topsham and Freeport until 6 tonight, and in Lisbon until midnight.

Energy analysts are expecting the low gas prices here in Maine to begin rising again.Even though the average retail gas price in Maine dropped by over a penny in the past week to an average of $2.10 a gallon, the national average rose to $2.05 and analysts expect our prices to increase accordingly.

 

Goodbye Radio Shack!

Bloomberg News reports that the Radio Shack chain is going to sell more than half of its four thousand stores to Sprint and close the rest. There are several Radio Shack stores here on the Midcoast, including in Brunswick and Topsham.
