Brunswick Police Chief Scott Stewart After A Day of ICE–on the WCME Midcoast Morning Buzz

About This Project

On today’s WCME Midcoast Morning Buzz, Brunswick Police Chief Scott Stewart says Tuesday was one of his more recent difficult days on the job, and he says the hardest part actually came AFTER ICE agents showed up in Brunswick to make what appears to have been a targeted arrest of a man who has yet to be identified.

The chief says after ICE departed there was a large load of misinformation in circulation on social media, including a false report of an ICE operation at Brunswick Landing.

Stewart also says that while some residents confronted ICE agents as they were parked on Union Street there was NO interference with agents and nothing in the way of confrontation that was in any way criminal.

You may hear my chat with the chief in full–in two parts. Right here.
